JUPAS Application - Specific Entrance Requirement on Alternative Qualifications in Chinese Language (ACL)

Non-Chinese-speaking (NCS) applicants*, who have met the specified circumstances as announced by the Education Bureau (EDB), can use the following alternative qualifications to replace HKDSE Chinese Language Level 3 to meet the entrance requirements for Chinese Language.

  • “Attained” or above in HKDSE Category B (Applied Learning Chinese); or
  • Grade E or above in GCE (A-Level / AS-Level / O-Level) Chinese; or
  • Grade E / Grade 3 or above in GCSE / IGCSE Chinese

However, the following undergraduate programmes require a higher level of Chinese Language proficiency. Please find the specific entrance requirements on ACL in table below.

    *Campus access control and vaccination requirements

    All students and visitors are required to have been vaccinated with at least three doses (or two doses if the 2nd dose has only been received in less than 6 months) from 31 May 2022 in order to access HKMU campus, unless they are exempted under the campus access requirement (link). Students and visitors are also required to use the LeaveHomeSafe app to show the QR code of your electronic vaccination record or exemption prior to entering the campus.
