Mainland applicants (National College Entrance Examination)*

Since 2006, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (formerly The Open University of Hong Kong) has been approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit undergraduate students through the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE or Gaokao) in the Mainland. So far, it has admitted about 1,400 Mainland NCEE students into our university’s undergraduate programmes. Four of our Schools recruit Mainland undergraduate students, namely School of Arts and Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, School of Education and Languages, and School of Science and Technology. The Hong Kong Metropolitan University recruits GaoKao candidates in the Mainland through independent enrollment methods. Mainland Gaokao candidates who intend to apply for our programmes should log in to our University’s online admission application system to submit an application on or before the application deadline (Gaokao candidates need not go through the Examination Bureau for application).
