A. The intake places of the designated programmes under the SSSDP are mainly allocated through JUPAS. Should there be unfilled intake places after all admission rounds of JUPAS, the SSSDP participating institutions will admit local non-JUPAS applicants via direct admission of no more than 10% of the subsidized places of each selected programme.

The number of unfilled intake places for each SSSDP programme, if available, and details of the application arrangement will be announced via our website in late August.

If you also wish to opt for other self-financing programmes, you can choose to indicate your interest for consideration for unfilled subsidized SSSDP programme places in advance instead of filling out another application when such places become available, upon the submission of the online application.

A. If you are a local applicant with HKDSE Examinations results only, the admission pathways would be different, subject to the types of programmes that you wish to apply admission to:

1. bachelor’s degree with honours programmes (Year 1 entry) : JUPAS

2. higher diploma programmes (Year 1 entry): Non-JUPAS (i.e. direct)

A. No, admission to the study programme via year 2 or year 3 depends on applicant’s academic merits and other relevant factors. Note that some programmes only have year 2 or year 3 entry under senior year entry.

A. Mature local applicants without the stipulated entrance qualifications are eligible to apply for admission to the first-year study of an undergraduate programme. They must reach the age of 25 by 1 September of the year of admission and be able to demonstrate their aptitude and suitability for study.

1. A photocopy of your HKID/Passport containing personal data with the word ‘copy’ written (mandatory);

2. A photocopy of academic transcript(s) / certificate(s) with examination results (mandatory);

3. Additional document(s) as required by the programme(s) you apply for (if applicable), and

4. other relevant information you consider appropriate (if applicable).

You should submit your application and most up-to-date information first and then upload the academic transcript with all course results and public examination results, etc. as additional supporting documents via our Online Admission Application System when they are available. Otherwise, you may miss the application deadline.

A. Depends. Some online payment means take 3-5 working days to process transactions. You are advised to check your admission status 5 working days after making your payment. Please contact our office, if you still have not received confirmation after 5 working days.
