Introduction

The programme is designed to provide high quality education in various aspects of digital business for those who wish to pursue their careers as an analyst, specialist or manager in digital business environment. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to support transformation and strategic initiatives for enterprise’s digital and online presence. Students will also gain practical exposure through intensive industry placement or in-house consultancy projects in their final year of study for enhancement of overall competence and employability.

Under the digital reshaping of local and regional economies, many companies have adopted or planned to adopt digital business strategies. Graduates can seek employment in diversified business functions, such as digital project management, digital transformation, business analysis, digital marketing, customer relationship management, social media analysis, search engine optimization, digital product design, and financial technology, all of which are demanded in nearly all industries.’

Further Studies

Opportunities are available for the graduates of this programme to pursue postgraduate studies in Hong Kong and abroad. Students may continue to study for a Master of Professional Management in Digital Business, Master of Business Administration or other master degree in business-related areas such as accounting, finance, human resources management, corporate governance, etc.

General Structure

The programme has 160 credits. Students must successfully complete the following requirements within these 160 credits:

70 credits of core courses;
15 credits of prescribed courses;
65 credits of concentration courses; and
10 credits of purpose-designed General Education (GE) courses.

^ Students may be required to complete a bridging programme which consists of selected foundation and/or middle level course(s) and/or a Summer bridging course.

Being able to work effectively with foreigners and foreign organisations has become a very important contributor to career success in the internationalised economy. The Undergraduate Global Immersion Programme (UG-GIP) is designed to support B&A students in developing their potential in the internationalised environment. UG-GIP aims to instill in students a deeper understanding of a foreign culture and its society and environment, and expose students to a broader overview and understanding of international business.

For senior year entry students, UG-GIP comprises two non-credit bearing courses: BUS B083F (Year 3)*, and BUS B084F (Year 4). These courses are designed to enhance students’ intercultural awareness and communication skills and help students to develop a global mindset. Details can be found here.

*BUS B083F includes a study tour. Students are responsible for incidental expenses such as airfare and accommodation.
