Introduction

This programme is designed for students interested in testing science. The program covers food, environmental protection, chemical or microbiological testing. The programme aims to equip students with theoretical, technical and practical knowledge in the aspects of testing, inspection and certification, allowing graduates to play a key role in testing, inspection and certification industry. Career Prospects

Graduates have broad employment opportunities in testing and certification industry, such as laboratory chemist or specialist, analytical technologist, QA & QC technician and inspection & certification officer in government sectors, university research laboratories, commercial testing laboratories, manufacturers and buying companies. Areas of work include testing, inspection and certification services in consumer product testing, pharmaceutical & food testing, environmental testing, research & development and quality control & assurance, etc.

Further Studies

Graduates would also be qualified for further study in testing science, applied sciences or related areas in any tertiary institutions in Hong Kong and elsewhere.

Students admitted to the programme through Year-1 Entry are required to successfully complete at least 120 credit-unit and

12 credit-units of senior-level elective courses from Table A;
3 credit-units of higher-level or senior-level elective courses from Tables A or B.
