The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is designed to advance the professional development of senior practising managers and professional in the business world. DBA focuses on topical and applied management issues. With the professional orientation of the DBA, the underpinning programme is a combination of taught courses and thesis.
The Doctor of Business Administration programme will admit students in the Autumn term only.
Programme-specific entry requirement:
Students admitted to the DBA/DBAC programme will be required to complete 60 credit-units of course work at Postgraduate level as prescribed by the University, before proceeding to the DBA/DBAC thesis.
There is no credit exemption for the course work or thesis part of the programme.

The Doctor of Clinical Science programme aims to equip healthcare professionals with the advanced knowledge and skills essential for implementing evidence-based practice, translating research findings into clinical practice, tackling complex healthcare challenges, advancing their professional knowledge and development, and eventually assuming leadership roles in their respective fields.
The Doctor of Clinical Science programme will admit students in the Autumn term only.
Programme-specific entry requirement:
A student admitted to the programme will be required to complete at least 27 credit units of coursework before proceeding with writing the DCSc thesis.
The number of student places for the programme is limited and admission is on a competitive basis.

A student admitted to the programme will be required to complete at least 24 credit units of coursework before proceeding with writing the EDDC thesis.
The number of student places for the programme is limited and admission is on a competitive basis.

The Doctor of Engineering, a professional doctorate programme, is intended for engineering professionals to pursue a profession-oriented research project leading to a doctorate degree. The research may be related to a real-life problem, for example, encountered in the daily work of a practicing engineer.
The Doctor of Engineering programme will admit students in the Autumn term only.
Programme-specific entry requirement:
A student admitted to the programme will be required to complete 24 or more credits of coursework, depending on the background of the student, before proceeding to the research project.
A typical part-time student will spend two years to complete the course work and another two years to conduct research and write the thesis.
There is no credit exemption for the coursework or thesis part of the programme.

Thesis
Each student will carry out a piece of research with the guidance of one or two supervisors. The following research areas will be available:

There are two entry pathways to the EdD programme, as follows:
Applicants should hold a recognized Master’s degree (by research or coursework) in education or a related area.
Applicants should hold a recognized Master’s degree (by reseach or coursework) in an area not related to education.
(Students entering through Pathway 2 are required to take two 20-credit courses from the list above.)
The selection procedure includes the submission of a research proposal and an interview.
